We are renowned for our relaxing atmosphere. a glass cupola creates an airy light space which combined with comfy sofas, basket chairs, wooden tables, potted plants, encourages our customers to spend time having lunch/dinner, drinks, reading or simply listening to the great music provided by inbuilt record shop Monorail.

Location

If you make your way to the Trongate and then walk on towards the river Clyde down King Street you will find King's Court a couple of blocks down on the left hand side. It is an open pedestrianised square surrounded by an eclectic range of ethnic clothes, jewellery and craft shops. This is where you'll find us. : see map

Food

Our fresh, home cooked menu is free of all animal produce using pure ingredients and is therefore suitable for vegetarians, vegans and any discerning palate. See menu page.

Drink

We have a large range of beers, wines and soft drinks including many organic options. We also brew our own ginger beer, lemonade and the occasional ale using our in-house microbrewery. Our coffee is fair trade supplied by Matthew Algie.

Music

The main cafe area is used as a venue for new local, established and international bands. Click on the gigs tab to see what's coming up. The cafe soundtrack is supplied by monorail throughout the day whilst in the evening we have dj's playing an eclectic mix of tunes.

Books

We have a free book exchange library housed at the back of the dining arch.

Shop

Monorail. The in-house independent record store has an extensive range of contemporary independent CDs and vinyl records from home and abroad, second-hand stock and re-issues of rare lost classics. A local institution with a growing international reputation. See links to myspace and website
