A long overdue return to Glasgow for Elephant Stone, who were last in town touring with The Black Angels.

Formed in Montreal in 2009, Elephant Stone is the brainchild of vocalist, bassist, songwriter, and sitar player, Rishi Dhir (formerly of the superb High Dials). Also featuring Miles Dupire (drums/backing vox) and Gabriel Lambert (geetar/backing vox), Elephant Stone are prominent members of the international psych scene, having played alongside and with such legends as Brian Jonestown Massacre, The Black Angels, The Horrors, and indie legends Teenage Fanclub and Beck.

Their music is critically acclaimed, and famed for its innovative blend of osychedelic rock‘n’roll, Hindustani classical music, and infectious pop.

The band have released 4 full length albums, and a digital remix album featuring contributions from Anton Newcombe of The Brian Jonestown Massacre, Tom Furse of The Horrors, Alex Maas of The Black Angels, Peter Holmström of The Dandy Warhols, and more.

Last year they released what is arguably their finest album, Ship of Fools, with standout single – the ominous dance-psych freakout “The Devil’s Shelter” – featuring long time friend Alex Maas on vocals.

Support comes from Helicon, who are one of the torch bearers of heavy psych in Glasgow for the last few years.
