To mark the release of his debut solo album ‘People Do’ John Lemke will be performing it live for the first time, alongside other new material, accompanied by friend and pianist extraordinaire Poppy Ackroyd. The album is seeing the light of day via Denovali Records this July. A fusion between his more emotive film composition approach and plenty of rhythm, percussive, prepared piano collides with abstracted guitar landscapes & disembodied vocal textures to form a danceable, electro-acoustic whole. The evening will also see two especially prepared solo sets by Kim Moore & Gareth Griffiths, recent collaborators for a live film score to accompany the 1936 anti-war film ‘Hell Unltd’ (by Norman McLaren and Helen Biggar), featuring a unique blend of their respective talents.~ Free entry with suggested donation ~

Proceedings will kick off around 8pm, so get there early and spread the word!
