The Scottish Green Party is proud to present Greendig 3: live music from Turning Plates, Sonny Carntyne and Jocky Venkataraman.
Turning Plates (headlining) will be performing only their second Glasgow show of 2014 at Greendig 3, as they warm up to release their debut album, The Shouting Cave, on Monday 22nd September. The Shouting Cave is hotly anticipated, following 2012’s critically-acclaimed Escapism EP.
Sonny Carntye’s blend of electronica, folk and rock music won the ear of RM Hubbert back in 2-12, with the release of their Unicorns and Ghosts EP. Since then they’ve developed a reputation for consistently outstanding live performances, and a succession of highly regarded EPs. After an acoustic performance at Greendig 1 back in January, we’re delighted to welcome the full band for a highly-anticipated show at Greendig 3.
As a special treat, Jocky Venkataraman has agreed to play his only live show of 2014 at Greendig 3. His last live appearance was to support Frightened Rabbit and the Twilight Sad at a one-off gig in Edinburgh, back in 2011.
Click ‘going’ on Facebook and we’ll put you on the guestlist to guarantee entry before 9pm.
We’ve kept costs down to £5 (£4 NUS/low wage), with thanks to Mono and the bands for making this possible.
