About
Mono opened in 2002, furnishing Glasgow with a unique and versatile space in which to eat, drink and discover new music. Over our first decade, we developed a reputation for good beer, good vegan food, good gigs and good times. We are proud of our achievements but we aim to make our next 20 years as a Glasgow institution even better!

Our aim is to provide a welcoming environment, offering quality sustainable food & drink and an exciting range of events, all couched in an ethical & community based context.
Inclusion: Mono welcomes everyone and strives to challenge barriers to music, culture and sustainable food choices. We have no tolerance for hate, bigotry or discrimination of any kind and encourage the use of our space for engaging with marginalized communities. We are wheelchair accessible for customers and are a proud LGBT+ safer space. We also offer a reduced hire fee for events from not-for-profit community organizations and outreach groups - just get in touch with our Events Manager here to discuss!
Anyone who wants to host an event at Mono must agree to uphold these values of inclusion and kindness.
Sustainabilty: Our kitchen bar not only delivers famously delicious, exciting dishes & drinks, it’s also fully vegan and every effort is made to reduce our impact on the environment in the process.
Whenever possible we source our food and drink ingredients from local growers and producers.
It is important to us to use organic and eco-friendly ingredients and supplies in our kitchen and we believe it’s not only better for the planet but it’s better for your palate, too!
Our business is a firm believer of reduce, reuse and recycle (you may recognise that fact from looking at the strangely familiar designs of some of our chairs… ahem)

We are wheelchair accessible from street level including an accessible toilet for customers. Some dining areas are accessed via ramp.
Our stage area is not wheelchair accessible during normal service but we can make adjustments for events including installing a temporary ramp if needed.
All our spaces are well, but warmly, lit.
During events our seating is greatly reduced however, we are always happy to find seats for someone that requires one - just let a member of staff know.
We are happy to offer free PA/ Companion tickets to events whenever possible so that you can enjoy our space safely, we ask that you contact us in advance to arrange this.
